Artist Support Pledge gives me a space to make small, more experimental works alongside my main studio practice.
These paintings are an opportunity to work a little more freely: to follow ideas, explore different techniques and allow some pieces to remain looser and less resolved. I’m particularly interested in how very little can sometimes be needed to suggest a landscape, a sense of place or an atmosphere.
Each piece is priced in keeping with the Artist Support Pledge and released individually as it is finished, rather than as part of a formal collection.
ASP works are released first on Instagram. Any pieces still available will then be added here.
Artist Support Pledge is a global initiative founded by artist Matthew Burrows to encourage artists and collectors to support one another. Artists offer work for no more than £220, plus postage, and every time £1,100 of sales is reached, they pledge to spend £220 on work by another artist.
It is a simple idea built around generosity, collecting and supporting the wider artist community.
