Ad Lib Gallery proudly presents a solo exhibition by esteemed London-based artist Hannah Ivory Baker. Renowned for her evocative semi-abstract landscapes and seascapes, Baker captures the raw beauty and unpredictability of the natural world—from the rugged Cornish coast to the tranquil Somerset Levels.​

Each painting originates from plein air sketches, where Baker records the essence of a scene using oil, charcoal, or mixed media. These initial impressions evolve into larger studio works, characterised by expressive mark-making, rich textures, and a harmonious limited palette. Her technique, often employing large brushes and palette knives, emphasises the dynamic interplay of light, tone, and form, inviting viewers to experience the landscape's energy and depth.​

This exhibition invites audiences to immerse themselves in Hannah's interpretation of nature's ever-changing moods, offering a contemplative space where personal reflections meet the artist's profound connection to the environment.​
